The Path of the Nautilus
Using the idea or metaphor that life moves in circular cycles I have found that as I am willing to go deeper to the core root of what is wanting my attention, (the center of the nautilus) and begin the journey expanding outward again, I return to themes or lessons that have presented themselves in the past. Each time I am reunited with a lesson I have a choice, to use tools gleaned from previous experiences/travels and lean into love, or I have the choice to react in fear, and put off the growth until next time. Only you can walk your spiral path in your own sovereign creative way. In painting the nautilus spiral, I have reflected on my own cyclical journey of lessons. In doing this contemplation I have become aware of how far I’ve walked, and the priceless gifts or tools I've picked up along the way. I can also see where certain lessons are incomplete and still in progress. By this point I know I’ll have moments of excitement for the adventure ahead and moments of overwhelm or fear… I find a lot of solace in the fact that love is always within and a soft landing place during the hard moments and look forward in joy for the fun to be had!
Kaun Yin has presented herself as a companion presence in each painting for this series. Her archetype symbolizes compassion and kindness. Truly signifying a key to our own journey. If we do not take heaps of compassion and kindness with us, what we carry along our way, only gets heavier. Compassion and kindness dissolve a lot of dense energy that can be held within the body and auric field.
Fine art has a beautiful way of being a visual reminder for your heart. May these pieces invite contemplations of your own journey, compassion, and love. Love to you fellow traveler.
